Barreled 19th April, 2013

For this run, we used 300 gallons of water and 500 lbs of corn.  Cooking went great.  Produced 2 Barrels.  Cam, my brother and our CFO, was still in town to help us out and learn about the production process.  No casualties reported.

Bottled 12th April, 2013

For this run, we used 300 gallons of water and 500 lbs of corn.  Cooking went great.  Starting to get less worried about burning the corn.  Produced 11 Cases.  Cam, my brother and our CFO, made it into town to help us out and learn about the production process.  No casualties reported.

Bottled 5th  March, 2013

For this run, we used 200 gallons of water and 500 lbs of corn.  Found a few more people to use our distiller’s grain for their chickens, also!  Starting to get the process down and is taking us less overall time for the labor!  It is a highly labor-intensive process, so the better we get, the less we have to hurt!  Produced Cases.  No casualties reported.

We here at Shawnee Bend Farms/Mad Buffalo Distillery personally plant corn, grow corn, harvest corn, grind and mill corn, mix corn with water, mash and ferment, distill the corn mash, further distill the corn liquor (multiple times), proof and blend the corn liquor, bottle the corn liquor, label the corn liquor, package the bottles of corn liquor in cases, load boxes of bottles of corn liquor onto our truck, and then we deliver cases of completed 100% Missouri Made Thunderbeast Storm Moonshine to our distributors or stores ourselves. Impressed? We just want you, our customers, know what goes into the making of Thunderbeast.

Bottled 3rd February, 2013

 

For this run, we used 300 gallons of water and 600 lbs of corn. Cooking went great. Did not use the false bottoms. Had a problem with two of our heating elements. Turned them off and ran the run slower in order not to screw them up. No other problems. Produced 13 Cases. 10 scheduled for distribution in St. Louis and Springfield, two in Franklin County (T's Liquor Lane!), and one will be shopped around in St. Charles. No casualties reported. Same flavor as Batch Two. Our learning curve is getting shallower!
